Staying Stupid to Win Big

This is from Steven Pressfield’s book, Do The Work

Stay Stupid

The three dumbest guys I can think of: Charles Lindbergh, Steve Jobs, Winston Churchill. Why? Because any smart person who understood how impossibly arduous were the tasks they had set themselves would have pulled the plug before he even began.

Ignorance and arrogance are the entrepreneur’s indispensable allies. She must be clueless enough to have no idea how difficult her enterprise is going to be – and cocky enough to believe she can pull it off anyway.

How do we achieve this state of mind? By staying stupid. By not allowing ourselves to think.

A child has no trouble believing the unbelievable, nor does the genius or the madman. It’s only you and I, with our big brains and our tiny hearts, who doubt and overthink and hesitate.

We can always revise and revisit once we’ve acted. But we can accomplish nothing until we act.

Don’t think. Act.

Happy New Year and all the best to you in 2023!

7 Proven Ways To Increase Your Traffic To Rush-Hour Conditions

Internet. Business. Profit. To fully integrate all these words into a successful merging you are missing a key word. Traffic. Any quality article you find about making your site or company successful will always include the importance of generating traffic.

We all have an understanding that at the core of it all, traffic is the most essential thing to a successful internet-based business company. Aside from ensuring that you know your niche, audience, and competition well, and that you have a great product to promote, it would be time to get to the nitty gritty of things…, generating traffic.

Traffic isn’t always a bad thing if your an online marketer

If you already have a site and you think that you’re not getting the traffic that you need, then it is time to assess and adjust. Traffic is the lifeblood of any internet business. Without it, you die. No matter how good of a product or program you have to market, you must have traffic.

Is traffic or a product like the chicken or the egg? What came first, the chicken or the egg?

It’s an age-old debate. Without one, you can’t have the other.

Check back soon for the answer

So, is a product and traffic debate similar? Or perhaps I should have said traffic or product, but that might have been leading. I’m not going to go down this chicken trail, but suffice to say, traffic is extremely important. Traffic is king!

Some would argue that if you have traffic, with the age of affiliate marketing, you can always adjust your product to meet your traffic, or audience’s needs, wants and desires. Although there is some truth to this, one must also acknowledge that there is a huge difference in traffic.

For example, just because you have a lot of traffic, that does not equate to a lot of sales. Traffic varies vastly. Some are gawkers and tire kickers. Some are not interested in what you have, and some are just plain old not buyers at all. You want buyers. You need buyers!

This is just another way to say that it is important that you develop your own traffic. Much like it doesn’t really work to buy a list, it doesn’t work to not have your own traffic, or very similar to your homegrown traffic. If you develop your own traffic, (list) then you have the target that you have grown.

Since you have grown it from scratch, your traffic is, or was attracted by your content. So what are the best ways to grow traffic?

To help you out in generating more traffic for your site, here are seven proven methods to increase your traffic.

1) Create and provide newsletters and blogs.

The more you can get your name out and build your brand, the better. In essence, this really becomes a numbers or statistics issue. Or to put as a sports metaphor, the more shots on goal you take, the better chance you have of scoring.

Utilize sites like Guestblogit.com where you can ask for articles to be written for you. They can link back to your website as well. Or you be a guest blogger for other websites. Submit to other sites, there are a lot out there. It’s a good idea to find sites that correlate well with your niche.

Search for “guest blog” + “your niche” or search for “submit guest blog + niche” to find suitable sites.

2) Use of proper keywords or keyword phrases for your site content

Search engines look for certain keywords that they would show in their results page. In doing so, having the right keyword and keyword phrase is a high requirement in ranking in high in search engine results. You could write your own content, or you could hire someone to do it for you.

3) Write Articles that can lead traffic to your site

Submit articles to sites that share the same interest, and subject matter as your niche. There are plenty of sites to post articles to, such as Ezine, Goarticle, com, or Articlesbase, com. It’s also a good idea to search for sites that are more specific to your niche.

If you sell car parts, write press releases and articles about cars and car parts. Attach your sites description and services at the end of the article as well as the link. The bio box is a great way to get your name, brand and offerings out there.

4) Join forums and forms of online communities

Capture a market and show your expertise and credibility. When you create a good foundation for your site and start to grow your brand, you will continue to build trust. Build and grow the “know, like and trust” factors.

Although this takes time, it does continually build slowly and exponentially. As their trust grows and they are comfortable and like your content, people will begin to share your content and traffic will increase.

5) Test various paid advertising methods

Google’s Adwords provide a great advertising method that is generally accepted.  Although this is a great way to improve your traffic, you need to be cautions and learn the best methods and use of Adwords. The cost can add up quickly and you must be efficient and effective in your advertising strategies. While some shy away from spending money to increase traffic, Adwords is one of many paid methods that can work very well.

Sole ads can be very cost effective as well. Here again, you must research and test to see what works best for your specific swipe. You should use your own swipe instead of allowing the seller to set up. The sellers will use whatever is most efficient for them to get clicks, and not necessarily what might work for your specific needs.

Here’s a few more Solo tips: Try multiple sellers to test them out. I prefer using sellers on Udimi. This platform has statistics, customer ranking and feedback which is helpful.

Start with smaller purchases to test out different buyers. Sellers typically will provide 10% or even up to 20% over delivery. This adds up nicely when you place smaller orders while your testing.

Perform A/B testing with your own swipe. And tracking is a must to measure and compare. You will find that some runs will perform very poorly even though the seller has good statistics. While other runs may perform very well. I typically try 2 or 3 separate orders with those sellers that I want to test.

Soon you will find several sellers whose traffic performs the best for you. Solo ads are one of my passions, so I will do a full blog soon to provide more insight and details.

6) Exchange or Trade Links with other sellers or sites

Exchanging links with other sites or affiliate marketers are a win/win for both if you find a good quality seller or site to participate. When one site features another sites link, they could provide one another with the traffic one site generates. The efforts are doubly beneficial because it would seem like both of you are working to generate more traffic. The more links traded with more sites the more traffic you can generate.

Once you actually have a decent number of leads in your own list, you can then start ad swapping those leads with other marketers. This way instead of paying for the traffic, you get it for free, (in exchange for mailing out the other partner’s free offer.)

Just take your time in searching for a potential partner with quality products that are in your niche or compatible to your niche products. You don’t want competing products, but you do need to have similar so that it makes sense to market to each other’s list.

7) Capitalize on the use of Viral Marketing

Viral marketing allows you to spread the word about your company and product with low or even no costs. This is a marketing method that can be quite sneaky; you can attach your company’s name, product, or link to a certain media such as a funny video, entertaining game, an interesting article or a gossip or buzz.

With this method, people are engrossed with the creativity and entertainment of the medium so that they pass it on to others, and so on to get many shares.  Mems and gifs are great examples and have higher probabilities of going viral then more traditional media.

Here is an example that I use in my advertising that has done well for me.

Top 3 Ways to Boost Affiliate Sales Quick, +6 months

The ideal world of affiliate marketing avoids many of the normal business issues by being hands off. There is no product, no shipping, or many other issues or activities associated with your standard business model. As a result, affiliate marketing is one of the go-to online business models people are rushing to as an internet business. One of the biggest problems is that sales are slow. Here are some things that you can do to boost affiliate sales.

For a limited time, you can get a free report showing how to get floods of free traffic to your sites. Simply visit the following site to download it now: Traffic Generation

It’s true that you can earn affiliate income without having a full-fledged business. Start small, and grow respective to the amount of time, work, and dollars you can invest.  Affiliate marketing makes a great side hustle. And with higher prices at the pump and store, and tighter budgets, it is becoming harder to makes ends meet. Affiliate marketing offers a great way to supplement your income and develop reoccurring passive streams of income.

This is exactly how I started, and I can share a ton of hurdles and issues that come up when you’re just starting out. (But that is another blog post for another day). But certainly, affiliate marketing is a great starting place for any online business and a way to make some extra income.

So, let’s assume you have already begun with affiliate marketing. You have got started, but now you’re ready to see the revenues kick in. Where’s the sales? When do sales kick in, so you start generating commissions? As time goes by, you become more concerned, wondering if sales will ever ramp up.

What is it that you need to do to get sales rolling and start gaining commissions?

Here are some powerful tips to boost your affiliate program commissions overnight… Well, my quippy title stated, “overnight plus 6 months”. While it is true that any improvements you make will begin to have positive impacts right away, (overnight), you still need to allow time for your work to have a full, sustainable impact to your business.

The reality is that this is a business even without all those things I mentioned earlier. Any worthwhile business takes time, and I find that especially true with affiliate marketing.  So yes, start immediately today, and you will see a boost to your commissions. Some can be overnight. But be realistic, don’t be impatient and shoot for the long-term.

Set your sights on longer-term goals, and your business will be the better off for it. Think of it like making a snowman in the perfect wet snow conditions. Start off with a handful of snow, and begin rolling, and it grows, and grows and grows.

Affiliate Marketing actions compound upon themselves to grow out of control!

The snowball grows so big that it begins to take on it’s on life. The strategic actions you take with affiliate marketing work in a similar way. These actions compound upon themselves, and everything grows and grows. Your content and programs grow. Your traffic, leads and lists grow. And your SALES COMMISSIONS will then grow relative to these respective inputs and actions.

So, let’s get started with some strategies that will boost affiliate sales and commissions.

1. First and foremost, determine the best programs and products that best fit your business and audience.

Obviously, you want to strategize and create a foundation with programs and products that enables you to achieve the best success and greatest profits.

There are several factors to consider in selecting the best program. Here is my Affiliate Program Checklist that I use to assess individual program criteria. The best program is one that meets your specific needs and works well with your business and audience. Choose programs that have products that fit with your target audience, and more specifically, will help them in addressing their problems or providing them solutions. This is the most important component in selling.

Remember, it is vitally important to know your audience and meet their needs, not the other way around where you are trying to push a program or product on to your audience. This is key to being successful in affiliate marketing.

I talked about this in a previous blog post discussing some of the mistakes that affiliate marketers make, and it is critical to understand that you are not pushing products, but providing solutions to problems, or helping your prospect to grow, learn, or do things faster, easier, better, or whatever the case may be. Help them be successful. When you master how to do this, you will be successful.

There are literally thousands of affiliate programs and products available. This gives you the opportunity to be very selective.  Perform due diligence and select the best program fit to avoid wasting time, and resources. Be strategic about this. Have your plan to follow… and follow your plan.

A solid strategic plan created to meet your goals and needs serves as your foundation and guiding map to keep you on track. I provide a free 12-Day Challenge and Training that leads you through this process. Without a solid plan, you tend to get distracted, veer off course, or jump to the next shiny object that comes into view.

Take training to boost affiliate sales

Check out my 12-Day Challenge and Training HERE. The training is free and provides free resources to help you stay on the right track and maneuver uncharted waters to achieve results. No more bunny trails. No more shiny objects. And plans and tool to navigate stormy seas.

You must continually assess how you are marketing the programs. There are so many ways to market a program or product that this is often overwhelming for affiliate marketers, especially for those who are just starting out and struggling to finding their stride.

Try different marketing strategies to see what might fit your business and audience best. Consider something unique to you such as writing a report or review or creating a short eBook. There is a ton of competition out there and there will be many other affiliates promoting the same program. Try to set yourself apart to stand out from the crowd.

Writing quality reports or reviews about the products you are promoting will allow you to distinguish yourself from other affiliates.  Reports are a great way to provide valuable information for free. Add in specific details and benefits about the product. What set’s it apart from its competition? Why should your audience buy it? Know your products or services so that you can promote them well.

Tip: As a huge bonus, any creative content you produce provides a great opportunity to include your own business information, such as your blog, your website , learning or other valuable resources. And icing on the cake is to add an additional page of related “recommendations” of more products or offerings so you can cross sell related products or services easily in your content. The goal, and art, is to tie this all together to flow naturally and seamlessly. And always strive for valuable content.

2. List building is a must. Traffic is king! Build your list to boost affiliate sales.

Collect email addresses from those who download your free reports and resources.  Also, create a list of your recommendations or resources, or a resource library to leverage. This can be made public, or you may make this “private” and require subscribing to or signing-in to grow your list. This is a great list building method.

You need to continue to nurture and work with your list and grow your relationship and their knowledge of you over time. Build your personal brand. You need to nurture their “know, like and trust” of you.  The more they know, like and trust you, the more success you will have with your promotions.

It is always important to gather contact information of a prospect whenever possible before sending them to the vendor’s website. Keep in mind that you are providing free advertisement for the product owners. You get paid only when you make a sale. If you send prospects directly to the vendors, without collecting their contact information, they will be lost to you forever.

When you gather their contact information, then you have them on your list to nurture and send messages to them to grow their knowledge of you. Although growing and nurturing your list does take time, it is a time-tested, proven superior means of affiliate marketing.

With affiliate marketing, it really isn’t very realistic to think you can just post a link to a cold audience and you will have great success. This is an ongoing process, and due diligence, patience and time is necessary. The time it typically takes to make affiliate sales is more accurately measured in months, not days.

This is not to say you can’t have some immediate results. Some types of programs are more adapted to quick returns or more immediate actions. For example, CPA, (cost per action) or PPC, (Pay Per Click), programs pay you for generating leads to products or services for others. Think of providing leads to a credit card company or insurance offer as an example.

CPA and PPC have an advantage for potential quicker results; however, you need to market differently and in the right way. You either need to have an audience that is already looking for or needing the service without warming up, or you need to use paid advertising that can be more specifically targeted. This is just another example of how your marketing must fit with your product or service and the target audience.

Another way to gain traffic is to publish an online newsletter, Ezine or blog. These forums help develop your brand and build relationship and following. (See my Personal Brand blog here). It is always best to recommend a product to someone who knows, likes, and trusts you vs. cold traffic to a stranger. This is the primary purpose behind publishing your own newsletter or blog. It allows you to develop a relationship based on trust with your subscribers.

Your readers will get to know you over the course of time, and this will take an ongoing process of continual posting of information and resources. And this needs to be something that they find of value. One example of a blog that I hoped would provide value was a list of 50+ Entrepreneur newsletters for startups, including online marketing, SEO, etc. See that blog HERE.

These forums are a delicate balance between providing useful, valuable information and resources, while incorporating some offers that can contribute to your sales. And you should always market good quality products that you truly recommend.

Tip: You will want to share your blogs, articles, and website content with other sites and social media. Take your time to find audiences that fit your niche and content. A great way to find the best fit is just spend some time on google. Search the following with your niche.

  • Search “social bookmarking site + your niche”
  • Search “submit content + your niche”
  • Search “submit article + your niche”
  • Search “article directory + your niche”

3. Use what you promote.

Yes, I highly recommend purchasing and using the product, service, platform or program that you will be promoting. This serves 2 purposes. First, it gives you direct firsthand experience and knowledge. Second, your knowledge and experience will serve as the foundation for unique, quality promotions and you will have additional credibility.

This experience will allow you to provide a much higher value to your audience by being knowledgeable and credible.

We have all experienced it. You can clearly tell when someone is recommending a product just to make a sale. Quite often, the information they provide is not even accurate, and they come across as a salesperson who will say anything to make a sale. Don’t be a salesperson.

boost affiliate sales by NOT being a salesman
Boost affiliate sales by not being a salesperson! Successful Marketing requires “know, like and trust”, and solutions to problems

Make sure all your information is accurate and be factual. And of course, make sure this is something that you do truly recommend that is of value.

I almost always purchase before I recommend or market. This is especially true with my high-ticket offerings. Now I know not everyone can afford several thousand dollars to own a high-ticket program. But if you have purchased and used the program with success, then you are in a much better position to market it.  For example, this high-ticket program is not only something that I purchased and know inside and out, but it is also one of my largest income generators! Therefore, I am very comfortable, confident and excited to promote it.

I also purchased the Product Licensing Formula before I began promoting it. This was beneficial to my business as well as to my ability to promote the product. I needed quality products for my business and this was the fastest, most efficient way to get quality products.

But just as important as getting new products to grow my business, was the experience for marketing the program. Instead of relying on the owner’s sales information, I wanted to fully understand and have firsthand experience with it.

Does it really work, and how well? How good are the products, (i.e., quality, value, etc.)? How successful do these products fit and how much have they helped my business grow?

Because I now have this firsthand experience, I am head and shoulders above other affiliate marketers. I am totally comfortable and confident that I am promoting a quality product. So, I gained in two ways. One: I have new high-quality products that greatly contribute to my business and revenues, and Two: I am knowledgeable, experienced, and well-versed as a spokesperson who knows what I am talking about and confident in my promotions.

Tip. If you cannot purchase to try out yourself, another  helpful strategy is to get on their email list as a perspective buyer. That way you will receive all their emails and experience how they market their product.

This gives you valuable insights to the selling points, benefits, and strategies that they are using. You can then utilize this content to create your own marketing strategies and content along with the resources that they provide to you as an affiliate seller.

I sincerely hope these strategies and tips help you in your journey to growing your sales. Most sales start with lists, and knowing, liking, and trusting.

Affiliate marketing is as much of an art as it is a science. There is no right or wrong way; just find your way. And your way is whatever works for you and how you may find success.

Try these strategies and tips and see the difference they can make to your commissions in a short period of time…. and, in a little longer-term period of time as well.

Remember, this is a marathon, not a sprint.

To your success!

Last-Minute Gifts You Can Buy Right Now

While it may come naturally to some, finding the perfect holiday gifts can be daunting…

Add in inflation and supply chain issues, and the task becomes even more stressful and uncertain.

So if you are behind the eight-ball right now… Or you’re looking for an extra gift idea to get someone…

I’d like to share some investment and online business related ideas that provide far more value than a necktie for dad, kitchen apron for mom, or action figure for the kids that’ll be broken in a week….

Gift Idea No.1: An I-Bond

I-Bonds are officially known as Series I Savings Bonds. And like their better-known counterparts – Series EE Savings Bonds – their value doesn’t fluctuate.

So, unless the U.S. government defaults, you cannot lose any of your principal by owning I-Bonds.

Of course, these bonds do pay interest, which is comprised of two components: a baseline interest rate and an inflation adjustment.

And while the baseline rate is 0.0%, the latest inflation adjustment brought the bond’s composite rate to 6.89%.

That’s the second-highest rate ever after topping 9% earlier this year. That’s still much better than alternatives like money markets or CDs.

On top of that, I-Bonds are exempt from state and local taxes… And if the proceeds are used for qualified education expenses, profits can be exempt from federal taxation as well.

That makes I-bonds great gifts – especially for kids.

You can purchase up to $10,000 of electronic I-Bonds per social security number every calendar year in whatever denomination you prefer – right down to the cent (with a $25 minimum). Just visit www.treasurydirect.gov.

Of course, you can also give what I consider an even better investment…

Gift Idea No.2: A Share (or More) of a Solid Dividend-Paying Stock

Although stock trading these days is all done electronically, you can still gift stock shares for someone – and without having to set up a separate brokerage account.

It’s not as hard as it might seem… Websites like GiveAshare can allow you to choose from hundreds of publicly-traded companies. They’ll set up an account, and even mail out a physical certificate.

For my first wedding anniversary – the paper anniversary – I gifted my wife a share of her favorite company, Starbucks. Besides having a certificate, she gets to vote during shareholder meetings. Plus, thanks to the reinvested dividends, her share has become about 1.05 shares, in the early signs of the compounding process. And she’s up about 20%.

The only downside with gifting a physical share is having to pay some sizeable fees compared to buying stock in a brokerage account.

You can also gift someone shares of stock you already own.

Under current IRS rules, you can gift up to $15,000 per person annually – and without having to declare the gift or pay any gift tax.

What’s more, gifting shares lets you avoid paying any capital gains tax that might otherwise be owed.

Instead, the future liability is passed onto the recipient… And if they’re in a lower tax bracket, that could end up being a win-win situation.

The same tax rules can apply to other gifted investments as well, which brings me to…

Gift Idea No.3:
Crypto

It’s no secret that we’re big fans of crypto here at Palm Beach Research Group. And many of our readers have seen firsthand how life-changing a small initial investment in crypto can be.

This year, cryptos are having a 75% off sale…

And while that’s rough for existing owners, it looks like a great long-term entry point. That’s especially true for kids who don’t need to cash out right away.

I’ve gifted small amounts of bitcoin over the years to friends and family who have been interested, but generally on the fence when it comes to crypto. That small gift could become the key part of paying for college or making a down payment on a home in the years to come.

If you want to get someone else started on their digital asset journey, it’s relatively easy to give them a small of amount of bitcoin, Ethereum, or some other altcoin.

And what if you want to physically wrap something up instead of just emailing the details?

Well, there’s good news… You can give crypto through a gift card or a physical coin that contains a set amount of crypto.

Alternatively, you could buy someone a hardware wallet like a Ledger. You could even load some crypto on it ahead of time or show the recipient how to buy crypto on their own after they unwrap the present.

These are great learning opportunities for your kids!

Gift Idea No.4: Invest in On-line Learning Subscription

So now let’s shift slightly from the investment side of things to on-line business. For anyone with an on-line business, learning is vital. It is critically important to stay on top of what is going on, what is new and what the experts are doing.

And yet, you are so busy with your own business that you do not have time to read all the news and go down those bunny trails. You got work to do right?! And sometimes it is hard to find the right subscriptions, newsletters or blogs that provide up-to-date news, information or the content that you need.

This is a special offer that I recommend for the quality and content. They are offering a great holiday price and also providing a 2 for 1 subscription. So when you subscribe for yourself, you also get a 2nd subscription that you can provide to a friend or family member as a gift. The content is internet marketing news, interviews, commentary, tips and tricks, etc. And they do interview an industry expert each month which is extremely insightful and those 1-hour long podcast interviews are included. You can check out the subscription details here on teachable.

Gift Idea No.5: Invest in On-line Learning Courses

In staying with the learning theme, on-line courses offer a great opportunity and resource. There is so much to know when it comes to on-line businesses. We all have to where many hats, and it is hard to know everything. We all need resources that can get us directly to the specific information we need to get the job done and ultimately grow our business.

Here are a couple of courses I recommend that cover a lot of information, and are offered at a deep discount right now so are a great value.

First is a course for Advanced Affiliate Marketing SEO and Social Media. You can learn effect SEO and Social Media internet marketing strategies to help get the growth and traffic you need for your business. This is a very extensive course with 16.5 hours of lecture time and ranked 4.6 stars with 1,618 reviews. There is a discount code for 75% off which provides great value at only $17.25. Use discount code ’75POFF_2AP’ at checkout to get your 75% discount on teachable.

A second course to consider is for Personal Branding. This is another good course that you can learn how to grow your personal brand and become and influencer in your niche. This course also is ranked as 4.6 stars and is very extensive. You can get it for 80% discount with this holiday special discount code ’80OFFHOLIDAY’. Use the code at checkout on teachable.

Both courses are good learning opportunities at deep discounts. And they do have a good 30-day money back guarantee. We all must push ourselves to keep learning and growing if we are to not only survive, but thrive. Pick these course up now while they have these special holiday offers!

Gift Idea No.6: Invest in Valuable Business Opportunities

So if you have a family member who has an online business or is an aspiring online entrepreneur, providing them a “no cost” business opportunity may be an exciting gift for them, which provides new “no cost” opportunities. This final gift recommendation may sound a bit strange, however hear me out.

I purchased and thoroughly utilized this course for my own business. I found if very insightful, useful and worthwhile – certainly worth the money. Richard Legg has done some incredible things in marketing, and his course has a ton of information that any business can utilize. I have implemented many of the strategies provided in this course, and have found success in multiple ways. And yes, they are all “no cost” strategies, whereas you are not required to any additional products or platforms.

What brought me to put this on a gift list was the fact that it too has a great holiday special savings making even more attractive. You can get it here for only $19, which makes it a very affordable gift. And don’t let the price fool you. It is every bit worth it. I highly recommend this course at it’s previously discounted price of $97, but at $19 it is a no brainer! Again, a low cost gift, for a fraction of it’s regular price. And I personally guarantee that any business owner will find value in this course.

Closing Thoughts

I hope that some of these quick, last minute ideas may help fill those final gifts that you’re looking for. Above all, don’t stress. I want to wish everyone a Happy Holiday season. Enjoy your time together and reflect on the things we have to be thankful for. You will be hearing from me again before the new year!

Best wishes to all!

Dave

Not good you say?!

Because less than 3% of all referrals will ever go all in.

So most paying customers will only part with less than a hundred bucks.

And that means you’re getting less than half that. Can you really scale with these commissions?

No, you can’t. The math just doesn’t make sense.

I saw through this flawed math a while back, and decided to flip the script and start promoting high-ticket programs that pay real commissions.

That took my affiliate business to the next level…

Now this is how you scale!!!

Size matters.

Most certainly if you’re getting 20 bucks a sale or 200 or 2,000.

Yep, it makes a whole lot of difference.

Above all, there was one thing that I really needed, in order to promote those high-ticket offers successfully.

What is it?

A super-funnel.

I needed one to generate traffic and build an email list of responsive subscribers without losing money on ads.

This way, I could promote affiliate offers to my email list over and over and over again.

What’s a “super-funnel?”

It’s a mega funnel that consists of lots of other funnels that together create one super-funnel that turns one prospect into a multi-paying customer of larger proportion.

What does one look like?

And what can it do for you?

A robust, yet flexible platform was required. And a ton of work and time to put together….

then automate it…

and then optimize it.

But now it’s taking care of me, my family and my parents.

It’s funding my stock market investments.

and my real estate investments.

It’s putting food on the table

And it’s like a rich uncle I never had.

You can learn how to set one up here for free with the very basic fundamentals. You can do it, but I warn you, it will take a lot of time and effort. Given hard work and a solid year or so to build out, you can see some results.

Or you can get serious right here, right now, and cut to the chase. Watch this webinar to see how you can be up and running with your own evergreen products – automated super-funnel and start making real income in just 7 days.

Size does matter. And so does time. The size is with High-Ticket super-funnels and there will be no better time to get started then right now.

To your success!

3 Must Avoid Mistakes Newbie Affiliate Marketers Make

Affiliate marketing can be one of the most effective and powerful ways of earning income online. There are many benefits associated with online marketing. Now more than ever, people are exploring different opportunities to gain some additional income or work toward full-time income. When jumping in, here are 3 Must Avoid Mistakes.

Affiliate marketing offers a lot of flexibility, not only in the types of programs that are available but also in how these programs can be promoted.

A big benefit of affiliate marketing is that you can work on your own schedule, and from anywhere you desire as long as you have internet access. Since affiliate marketing programs are easy to join, more and more people are jumping on board and looking to get rich. Or atleast make some income as a side-hustle. Either way, it isn’t necessarily all a bed of roses as some would lead you to believe.

Mistakes Newbie Affiliate Marketers Make

Like any business, there are a lot of things to be aware and much to learn. Here are 3 of the most common mistakes that can get you off path. Too often people want to jump in and just start making money. Well, it doesn’t really work that way, and although you may get lucky and make a commission here or there, it not’ a great way to start.

A little bit of planning goes a long way. Do your research, develop a basic strategy of how you would like to promote, and then find the programs that fit your desired niche and promotion plan. Some strategic planning will help avoid these common mistakes.

Mistake 1: Choosing the wrong affiliate product or program for the wrong reasons.

In a rush to start earning commissions, people may just jump in headfirst. Although I always love the enthusiasm and zeal, too often, people just “jump on the bandwagon” product or program. These are the products and programs that they may see others doing well. They may be the “best programs” on a list or the “hot” items.

New marketers may choose the product that is in demand without regard to other considerations for a best fit. And just as concerning is that if they jump onto a program with a hot product, they have jumped straight into the fire of heavy competition. Those marketers out there with a lot of experience, knowledge, and resources, (including big advertising accounts) make it very hard for the little guy. They can eat you up.

Now I’m not saying you can’t or won’t have some success, however it may be very lean. Just know for sure what you’re up against. You might want to give some consideration to taking a little less aggressive path, which could ultimately lead you to more success… and commissions in your pocket.

There are also big benefits in choosing a product in a niche or area that you have interest and therefore that you likely have more experience. Interest generally leads to experience. And it may not necessarily be professional work experience, but rather your hobby or passion that has made you extremely knowledgeable.… perhaps even an expert.

Certainly, as you learn more, you have a better chance of positioning yourself as a niche expert if your passionate about it. Your knowledge and passion go a long way to help you find your stride and be successful with affiliate marketing. Pick a product that appeals to you. Then perform additional research to determine the best marketing strategies. Promoting a product or program that you are more passionate about is much easier than simply promotion for the sake of earnings.

What is the “right” program?

Selecting the right program correlates right back to what best fits your goals and desires. How much money do you want to make? $500/month, or $10,000/month? How much time do you have? Is this a side-hustle to pick up a little supplemental income or are you more interested in a full-time job?

Knowing these answers helps determine a “best fit” product or program. Will you sell low, medium, or high-ticket products or programs? If your goal is to make $100k per year, you probably don’t want to select a product that will only make a low dollar commission of $3 per sale. This option will take a lot of sales to reach your goal and therefore isn’t very realistic.

If you want to make $100k/year, you will need to look to a high-ticket program where you can make $1000 per sale for example. Otherwise, you just won’t have a snowball’s chance of meeting your goal. If you’re a newbie and looking for simple, high-ticket programs, here is a program that I have done well with and recommend. It is worth your time to check it out.

And give some thought about long term residual income. The best programs that produce income over and over are membership programs. And there are a ton of great programs out there. Just think about all of the subscription programs that marketers need for running their business.

Most of these platforms, tools or SAS have affiliate programs that you can join. My favorites right now are Groove and HighLevel. These make a ton of sense as all in one programs and are growing like crazy. It takes longer to start earning money, but once you do, it is monthly, like clock work.

Too many new marketers overlook these because they take a while to build up. Affiliate marketing is much like investing – you want to be diversified! Don’t put all your focus and efforts, and advertising all in one basket.

So you will want to create a small basket of 4 or 5 offerings that is compatible to your goals, and it will be much easier to focus and build a successful program.  As most of you already know, (or will learn), affiliate marketing is much more complex than simply pasting a link all over the internet. You can try that, but it won’t take long to realize you need to market in a strategic way if you’re going to have success.

Mistake 2: Joining too many affiliate programs.

Since affiliate programs are so easy to join, you might be tempted to join a whole plethora of programs. After all, if 1 is good then 50 would be better, right? Well, not necessarily. I’m not saying you shouldn’t join more than one. But keep the numbers realistic and expand in a logical, strategic manner. As I said, a small basket of 4 or 5 offerings might be the best starting point.  Then as you become more established, it is easier to expand and naturally promote more.

Once you have selected your niche, find common products that A) fit your goals and niche and B) complement one another. For example, if you’re writing a blog or article about affiliate marketing, you can easily incorporate a Beginners Affiliate Marketing training course offer. They fit well together and can easily be discussed in this single paragraph.

Or you can add in different courses such as Coaching, an Expert Podcast, or a Passive Income Course. They all fit under that same umbrella and pair well.

Now say for example, you wanted to include the new all-in-one platform that is the best thing since slice bread and saves a ton of costs. Any platform or tools that a marketer needs is always a good fit. Similarities creates continuity and is easier for you to market together in the same blog or article.

It makes sense to have multiple affiliate programs to offer. Just be cautious in not getting so carried away that you lose sight of what you’re doing or where you’re going. Be strategic about your programs and marketing. Don’t let joining too many programs distract you and create shiny object syndrome. Then you’re just chasing your tail and you become more inefficient and ineffective.

Shiny Object Syndrome for High-Ticket Affiliate Programs

Shiny object syndrome is especially true for affiliate marketers searching for high-ticket affiliate programs. You know, those with products that are priced over $700, $800 or more.  And marketers try one program and find it too difficult, hit hurdles, or just get impatient and then jump to the next program.

Not only is that inefficient but it is also costly. Most of these programs are expensive to join. Here’s a free 12-Day challenge and training that addresses shiny object syndrome for affiliate marketers. This free training helps affiliate marketers find their footing and develop a solid foundation to build upon. The program also offers strategies to build your success. Again, this goes back to goal setting and strategic planning.

Mistake 3: Not buying the product or trying the program or service.

As an affiliate, your main goal is to effectively promote the product or service. And in doing so, you will be rewarded with commissions for your successful efforts. First, get out of the frame of mind of “selling” and instead focus on how you can help others by solving a problem, or making things easier, better, cheaper, more strategic or glamourous.  Whatever the case, you are solving problems or helping in some way. And the more urgent or bigger the problem, the easier it will be to promote. To do this, it takes knowledge of both the product and the customers.

To be successful, you must know everything inside and out about the product or program that you’re offering, and the target customer.

  • That includes the good and the bad, the Pro’s and the Con’s. Know the best points and weakest points.
  • It includes all “details” of how it works, especially if it is a platform, tool, or service. Get deep into the weeds on this one.
  • This includes differences and similarities. How is yours better? How is it not as good?
  • It includes how others are selling. What is working and what is not.
  • Tie all this together and come up with the best angle to fix a problem.

One of the best ways to know everything about a product or service, is to you it yourself. Then you are much more knowledgeable about it and can better position yourself and the offering.

Research all the reviews of affiliate marketers peddling this product or program. I use the word “peddling” as many reviews that you will find are actually quite comical. They come across as nothing more than a salesman trying to say or do anything to get a sale.

3 Must Avoid Mistakes Newbie Affiliate Marketers Make. a salesman
Don’t be this guy! Avoid coming across as someone just trying to make a sale.

Of course, they’re going to say, “it’s a great program”, (or product). But often times, they don’t, or can’t even logically explain it. There isn’t any credibility there. Although they may get a few sales, without credibility, they may put a lot of time and effort in it and get very little, if any, return.

Don’t do that. Don’t be like them. That is a waste of your time. The better educated you are about your offering, and the more experience you have, you will be that much more credible. When you know what you’re talking about, and you provide facts and research, then you will be that much more credible, and will have better results.

That is why I am a firm believer in purchasing the product or program. For example, this is a  high-ticket program that I watched the webinar just to learn about. I am always researching new high-ticket programs to see what others are doing, what the angle or unique selling point is. I was so impressed with this program on the webinar, that not only did I want to promote it, but I bought it. So, I will be providing more updates on this program in the future. This new program webinar is well worth your review as a learning experience. You don’t have to buy it – just watch and learn. It truly is an outstanding webinar and a great new evergreen model.

Research and continued learning is the most important things you can do as an affiliate marketer. It is important to know what is good from a program quality offering perspective, and what is working from the program sales perspective.

This is just the very tip of the iceberg when it comes to marketing affiliate products and program considerations.

I hope these basic tips were helpful and we can get into more details soon. Many affiliate marketers make these basic mistakes, especially when just getting started. We all have made these mistakes, plus many, many more. But this is how we learn. And the great thing is that you can make some moola along the way, even if there is some luck involved.

Rather than leaving your success to luck though, the best thing to do is to take time to build a strategy and plan. Research what others are doing. Then every so often, take the time to analyze your activities and marketing strategies to determine if you’re on the right track.

Adjust as needed. If done properly, you will make the most of your time and efforts while maximizing your affiliate marketing profits. Have fun with it and get out there and make some moola!

All the best,

Dave
